Vintage Set 2 Hand Glazed CHINESE OPERA MASK FACES Ceramic Art Tiles
Each is 6" Square
This is a great collectible set- hand glazed with exceptionally beautiful colors of
mottled jade and celadon green with black, yellow, caramel color, and light blue.
These tiles have raised outlines around the faces and beautiful details. Each face represents a character from traditional Chinese Opera.
The artwork on the faces is completely individually hand drawn [not machine produced] and then filled in/color glazed by hand
Traditional Chinese opera mask faces, either Peking or Beijing Opera. Very good to excellent vintage condition, no nicks chips scratches or damage other than one small surface flake/chip off of one of the BACK corners on one piece. Not visible unless you turn the piece over- super minor. See last pic. Minor surface crazing through both tiles glaze normal for age and not damage.
No scratches, no fading, Stunning! See all pics and use zoom. Genuine vintage.
Marked on back in Chinese symbols and the words GREAT WALL MADE IN CHINA. Each has a metal hanger affixed to back, ready to hang.
Nice for a collector of art tiles or lover of Chinese traditional opera.
