UNUSUAL VINTAGE WEST COAST ROAD MAP CANADA TO MEXICO MAP CAMPS COURTS MOTELS

Description

An early road map of Camps, Courts, and Motor Hotels with directions to a surprising number of places for auto travelers to stop, rest, or stay overnight. Comments are things like "extra fine", or "look for the red, white, and blue windmill." It is issued by the California Camp Owners Association and from the look of the car on the front I'm guessing it is from mid 1930s or early 40s. I guess as soon as people had cars they headed out! It measures about 8" X 3.5" when folded and 8" X 19" when opened. It is in excellent condition with only one very tiny ding on the front.
