    Description

    They call this a "travel bulletin" promoting travel on the "Historic Old Spanish Trail." It is for the winter of 1951-1952 and it is promoting this Southern route because it is open all year.  They urge travelers to visit the Missions, San Antonio, and New Orleans, among all the other interesting places along the way. I'm not sure who published it. Their headquarters are in Beaumont, Texas and it is "dedicated" to Longfellow's Evangeline Country in Old World Louisiana, a reference I'm not familiar with. It measures 8" X 3" folded and 11" X just under 3" when opened, with curious cartoonish illustrations including a couple on the front who look like they are about to be buzzed up to a spaceship.
    This is a curious bit of pre-interstate roadside Americana.
