OMAS FAO 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Fountain Pen
In 1995 the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations celebrated its 50th anniversary, this organization worked to raise the levels of nutrition and standards of living. Inspired and dedicated to F.A.O's 50th anniversary, Omas collaborated with renowned sculptor Gio Pomodoro to produce these fine writing instruments and donated part of the proceeds from the sales to the F.A.O for their efforts and research.
The writing instrument is fashioned from a deep green resin, representing the richness of agriculture, with gold plated clip and trimmings. The cap band is beautifully detailed with the years 1945-1995 and the F.A.O. logo. Keeping with the theme a delicate staff of wheat decorates the clip, along with the engraved signature of Gio Pomodoro on the cap. To complete this gorgeous pen the 18k Gold nib is also engraved with the official logo. The writing instrument is safely housed in a gorgeous marble pen case.
