This pen was made in limited numbers by Omas for Fountain Pen Hospital's 60th Anniversay in 2006. Fountain Pen Hospital was founded in 1946 in NYC by Phil Wiederlight and his father Al Wiederlight. FPH had a long standing relationship with Omas.Hand-crafted from a solid block of celluloid, the Edition consists of 60 Fountain Pens and 30 Rollerballs in a unique transparent style. Celluloid is derived from cellulose which, when appropriately treated with camphor in an ethereal solution, produces a very aesthetically attractive material.The pen is no longer available (the new Bologna uses black and gold celluloid but does not have the Lucens transparent barrel). It is the Omas Bologna shape but it is made of the same transparent black and gold celluloid that is used in the Omas Lucens and Extra Lucens limited editions.A
ll the original boxes and papers are included (full set): Omas display box, outer sleeve, Omas Pouch, Omas booklet, Omase Certificate, Omas Society letter, Omas x FPH certificate.
The concerned pen has been previously inked. It comes in excellent preowned condition.
