    Description

    Opera Masks
    Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center
These masks are incredibly beautiful and have an interesting story behind them.
These masks are influenced by the history of the Chinese masks kingdom, mostly the Song Dynasty. Each character has a different color painted on it to distinguish its quality. Although the masks are painted on the actor’s faces, they are available as a collector’s item too.
For example red masks represent prosperity and bravery, while white masks represent evil and being hypercritical. Purple masks represent justice and sophistication, black represents integrity and impartiality, blue represents stubbornness and fierceness. Green shows that a character is violent and impulsive, while yellow represents a cruel and ambitious character. Gold and silver masks are used to represent divine beings such as a god, demon, spirit, or ghost.
There about 2" long & 2" wide from ear to ear.
